Conference Schedule

Morning Session: Keynote Speeches

Dr. Kaiser Haq

Renowned poet, translator, and essayist; Professor of English at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). Dr. Haq has been a Commonwealth Scholar and a Senior Fulbright Scholar. His notable works include translations of Tagore's "Quartet" and "The Wonders of Vilayet."

Dr. Shamsad Mortuza

Professor of English at the University of Dhaka and former Pro-Vice-Chancellor of ULAB. Dr. Mortuza's research interests include contemporary British poetry, Romanticism, and Native American literature. He has published extensively in both creative and academic fields.

Dr. Shaila Sultana

Professor and Director at the BRAC Institute of Languages, BRAC University. Dr. Sultana has been the most cited author in ‘Linguistics and Literature’ at the University of Dhaka and Bangladesh since 2021. Her research focuses on translingual practices and sociolinguistics.

 

Midday Session: Paper Presentations

Parallel sessions featuring paper presentations on the conference sub-themes.

 

Plenary session: Discussion on opinions and observations on English Studies

Academic Writing Workshop by Dr. Hossain Al Mamun

Professor and Head of the Department of English at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). Dr. Al Mamun specializes in academic writing and has conducted extensive workshops to enhance students' writing skills. His recent project led to the establishment of a writing center at SUST.
